• About Me

I am the oldest of two boys, born into a Christian family. I was saved at the age of four after my mom gave her testimony during a mother’s day service at church. At the age of eight I felt the call to go into missions, to be precise mission aviation. During a mission conference Ken Enright, a Methodist missionary pilot in Africa, was speaking and passed out airplane stickers. I put those stickers all over the house, and the fixation on aviation began. I took my first flight at age 14, took a special course on aviation during my freshman year of high school, and then enrolled at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. During my first two years I earned my Mechanics license, and my private and instrument pilots license. I was then hired by the University to work in the engine overhaul facility, and worked my way into the classroom as an Instructor. During my time working for the University I also earned my commercial and multi-engine pilot ratings. After five years in Florida, I visited Missionary Aviation Repair Center (MARC) in Soldotna Alaska. I put in my application after the visit and moved up during June of 2004.

I have always been interested in Alaska. I love the cold weather, snow, and all the activities the winter brings. I first visited Alaska in 1998, and I was sure I could call it home. I visited again in 2000 with my family and many members from our chruch in New Jersey. When I came to visit MARC it was like coming home, and I was sure this was where God wanted me.

Since arriving I have found a good church, and I work with Wednesday AWANA. I am part of a solid mens bible study, and have a good set of friends. I am currently working on my Inspection Authorization, and my Certified Flight Instructor rating.
